Backpack
Initially opted for a Fjallraven Kajka 75 liter. Again, this is already a newer version than the one I had bought.
When I wanted more capacity I looked further and ended up with this Osprey Aether 100 liters.
The Fjallraven, with wooden frame, was a perfect backpack but I now swear by this one which is just a little more comfortable. It also includes an ingenious system that transforms the top flap into a daypack. This is an option, see reports of my adventures, regular use.
The Fjallraven had an option to turn the top flap into a hip belt which is less convenient for me personally. I always carry my thermos with me and it works much better now. Also the hip belt is even more comfortable whereas with the Fjallraven I already saw this as a plus. Right now, for me, the best backpack!
Options to turn part of the backpack into a daypack. First the Osprey (my preference, that is) and then the Fjallraven. It is not only the content but especially the carrying comfort that is the deciding factor for me; Osprey that is!
